Microneedling helps to soften pores, fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and create a luminous glow. Multiple sessions are required when targeting a specific concern. Utilizing Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) enhances the results of this procedure.

We utilize a medical grade tip containing dozens of needles that are stamped into the skin at a precise depth to create controlled micro-injuries to smooth the appearance of scars, pigmentation and texture on the body. Patients are numbed in advance to minimize discomfort during the treatment. As an added option we offer PRP, which contains stem cells and growth factors from your own body to aid the collagen induction process and overall rejuvenation.
Multiple treatments will likely be required for optimal results. Other forms of microneedling such as rollers put the client at risk for scarring, infection, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and are not recommended.
Avoid alcohol consumption for 3 days prior to treatment.
Consult with your medical provider if you are able to discontinue blood thinning medication such as Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Aleve, and Fish Oil.
Do not wear makeup or lotion on the treated area to your appointment.
Numbing is applied prior to the procedure to make the patient more comfortable. There is some mild pain associated with microneedling.
Patients will see results over the course of 2-8 weeks after each session as the skin heals and creates new collagen. Patients often require multiple treatments, especially if targeting acne scars and significant texture.
There is no downtime. The patient can return immediately to their normal routine. Just expect to be red immediately after your treatment and then pink for the next 2 days.
Yes. Unlike chemical peels and lasers, microneedling is easy to accommodate into your Summer schedule. Patients should avoid sun exposure for the first 3 days after their treatment, but can resume sun exposure after with appropriate sunscreen application (and appropriate reapplication).
Yes, to some degree. It’ll take more time and the addition of PRP to help in creating more collagen to smooth and lift the scar. Sometimes filler is necessary to be added underneath the scar to create a more significant lift.
Most surgeons clear patients to get work done on their scars at the 6 month mark.
Adding PRP to the microneedling session can help enhance results from both treatments by infusing the PRP into the skin via the microchannels created by the microneedles. A skincare routine for the scar(s) will also be recommended upon assessment.
