What Is It For?
Lip filler is meant to replenish moisture content, plumping the tissue, and creating more definition. This procedure provides immediate results, typically last about six months to a year. Lip filler can refine and contour the shape of the lips to enhance overall lip appearance, symmetry, and proportion to other facial features.

Here at Lushful Aesthetics we strive to create lips that have well defined, crisp borders and the appropriate amount of volume for a hydrated pout. We take great pride in avoiding overfilling lips and injecting over lip filler that has migrated. All lip filler patients with previous lip filler receive a thorough assessment to look for migration, as adding more filler will just make migration worse.
Avoid alcohol consumption for 3 days prior to receiving injections.
Consult with your medical provider if you are able to discontinue blood thinning medication such as Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Aleve, and Fish Oil.
Do not wear makeup to your appointment.
FAQs
How long does lip filler last?
The lips are an area of dynamic movement. Therefore, filler tends to not last as long as other areas such as the cheeks, chin and jawline. The more filler injected, the longer the filler lasts. With the first syringe, patients should expect to require more filler within 6-8 months. After the second syringe, filler will last over a year. Because we never want to overfill this area, we go based on assessment and not a strict timeline in regards to when filler needs to be touched up.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Yes. Because we only utilize hyaluronic acid based fillers in the lips, they can be completely dissolved.
How long does it take for filler to settle?
Filler typically takes at least 2 weeks to settle. However, some patients may have residual swelling and therefore should expect to wait at least 4 weeks to appreciate the final result.
