What Is Jawline Filler?

Injectable fillers for jawline contouring provide definition and structure, resulting in a more chiseled jawline. At Lushful Aesthetics in NYC, we enhance your natural contours with jawline fillers that add volume and redefine the angles of your face. Our expert practitioners tailor treatments to suit individual needs, ensuring that each client achieves their desired aesthetic

The Benefits of Jawline Contouring:

  • Jawline contouring creates more of a pronounced and aesthetically pleasing jawline. This procedure provides a clear, defined contour that enhances the natural beauty of your face.

  • Jawline fillers help achieve a better balance of facial features, making the face appear more symmetrical and aligned. This can significantly improve how other features, such as the eyes and cheeks, are perceived.

  • Jawline contouring enhances the visual appeal and adds definition to the lower face. A well-defined jawline can make a face look younger and more firm, reducing the appearance of jowls and sagging skin

How Does Jawline Filler Work?

Jawline filler is one of Lushful Aesthetics' most popular procedures and is one of the more common med spa services, focusing on creating more of a chiseled jawline. This is done with a nonsurgical jawline contouring procedure utilizing Radiesse®, which lasts 3 years. Radiesse filler is the superior option for jawlines since it is a firmer product that has a bio-stimulator effect, which creates long-lasting collagen and elastin.

Men typically require between 5-7 syringes to create a defined jawline. Women may only require 3-4 syringes. Patients need to understand that the jawline is a large area, and achieving a truly chiseled result requires a substantial amount of jawline filler. Smaller amounts can be used, but patients are advised that they will likely only see a minimal improvement in jawline structure. Our jawline filler procedure often includes the chin to maintain facial harmonization.

FAQs

How long do the injectable fillers for jawline contouring last?

Radiesse® lasts 3 years and stimulates collagen growth that can last about 5 years.

Can jawline fillers dissolve?

Radiesse can be partially dissolved. The remaining filler breaks down naturally over 3 years.

How long does it take for jaw filler to settle?

Typically, jawline fillers take at least 2 weeks to settle. However, some patients may have residual swelling and should expect to wait at least 4 weeks to appreciate the final result.

Do you have jawline filler before and after pictures?

Yes! In addition to the before and after video on this page, you can visit our Instagram @lushfulaesthetics to see more.

Who should not get jawline fillers?

Jaw filler is not recommended for patients who have prominent jowls or excessive loose skin along the jawline and neck. While Radiesse can give you a sharper jawline, it cannot tighten excessively loose skin. Patients with significant submental fullness (double chin or excessive neck fat) are also not ideal candidates for jaw filler as they may not fully appreciate the result.

What's the difference in approaches to jawline fillers for men vs. women?

A masculine jawline is sharper and more chiseled, with an angle closer to 90 degrees. While women certainly can still have defined jawlines, they tend to be less chiseled and usually have a wider angle that does not make their faces look square. Because men require more definition and tend to have larger faces,  more jaw filler is needed to provide optimal results.
