Under Eye Rejuvenation with PRP: $800 | Per Under Eye PRP Treatment
At Lushful Aesthetics we utilize a double-spin centrifuge to create the most potent PRP that is packed with all of your own stem cells and growth factors to maximize your results. Once the platelet-rich plasma is prepared we carefully inject the PRP into the delicate under-eye area utilizing a cannula to minimize bruising. This helps to stimulate new collagen production. The procedure is minimally invasive, and since it utilizes the body’s own components, it is usually safer than fillers.
Avoid alcohol consumption for 3 days prior to receiving injections.
Consult with your medical provider if you are able to discontinue blood thinning medication such as Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Aleve, and Fish Oil.
Please arrive for your Under Eye PRP Treatment with a clean scalp and avoid using leave-in hair products the day of your appointment.
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. It is derived from a patient’s blood and contains growth factors that promote regeneration. It originated in orthopedics and made its way into aesthetics after promising results seen in stimulating tissue healing. The PRP injection under eye treatment works beautifully to rejuvenate the delicate tissue under the eyes to improve volume loss, skin integrity, and pigmentation.
Patients may bruise at the insertion site of the cannula and potentially where the cannula injects as well. Moderate swelling should be expected for 2-3 days, followed by mild swelling for up to 2 weeks after the PRP under eye treatment. Most patients find this an easy procedure to recover from and can be easily covered up with a little concealer the next day.
For patients initiating the treatment, optimal results of PRP under eye treatment are achieved when the procedure is performed once a month for 3 months. Then patients can maintain their PRP under eye treatment results by having the procedure repeated 2-3 times per year as needed.
Under eye dark circles are a multi-factorial issue that can include: excess pigmentation, vasculature that is seen through the skin, under eye hollowing, a bulging under eye fat pad, etc. Each of these conditions can require several variations of treatments that range from under eye PRP injections, a lower surgical blepharoplasty, various laser treatments and/or medicated topical treatments.
Under eye PRP is a relatively quick recovery. After the first 24 hours the majority of the swelling has gone away. The residual swelling which is typically mild will naturally resolve over the next 2 weeks. Under eye concealer can be utilized after 24 hours.
Most likely not. It’s mostly a time thing to recover from the swelling after receiving under eye PRP treatments. Taking a daily allergy medication can help, but luckily the swelling after 24 hours isn’t too bad.
Patients must keep the area clean and not apply makeup for 24 hours. Avoid exercise, hot tubs, pools, saunas, etc for 24 hours as well.
