Cheek Filler Procedure
Here at Lushful Aesthetics, we believe that cheeks should define and provide structure to enhance the face globally. Most patients require about 2-3 syringes to optimally enhance their cheeks, which are injected strategically to the lateral aspects of the face for a more defined and chiseled look. The medial cheeks are treated as well if there’s volume loss. This non-surgical facial enhancement treatment only involves a single entry point utilizing a cannula on the side of each cheek to reduce bruising and vascular complications.
Avoid alcohol consumption for 3 days prior to receiving injections to help reduce bruising during the cheek filler procedure.
Consult with your medical provider if you are able to discontinue blood thinning medication such as Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Aleve, and Fish Oil.
Do not wear makeup to your appointment.

How long does cheek filler last?
Filler in the cheeks slowly fades away over 3 years, depending on what product is utilized during the cheek filler procedure.
Can chin filler be dissolved?
This depends on the cheek filler product utilized. If hyaluronic acid-based fillers are utilized, then yes, the HA filler is completely dissolvable. If Radiesse® is utilized, it can be partially dissolved. The remaining amount of filler will need to break down naturally over 2-3 years.
How long does it take for filler to settle?
During the cheek filler aftercare, filler typically takes at least 2 weeks to settle. However, some patients may have residual swelling and therefore should expect to wait at least 4 weeks to appreciate the final result.
Who Should Not Get Cheek Filler?
Patients with excessive cheek volume or heavily defined cheekbones should most likely avoid cheek filler and focus on balancing other aspects of their face. This can be discussed during your appointment.
Is Cheek Filler a Common Procedure?
Yes. The cheeks are one of the most common areas for patients to inject. Here at Lushful Aesthetics we almost always recommend patients receive cheek filler to balance out when they receive jawline filler for optimal results.
How long does the cheek filler treatment take?
Cheek filler typically takes less than 30 minutes. But is often combined with other areas for facial balancing and harmonization. During your appointment with Dr. Bustamante you will have a thorough consultation to discuss your treatment goals.
