Our Approach to Focused Shockwave Therapy

Lushful Aesthetics utilizes penis rejuvenation therapy so the penis can be enhanced to have stronger, firmer, and larger erections with more pleasurable orgasms. Focused shockwave therapy may assist those suffering from erectile dysfunction. Our treatments for penile shockwave therapy are personalized and designed for sexual performance enhancement and ED relief.

Focused shockwave therapy from Lushful Aesthetics of NYC works to promote new capillary development that regenerates tissue while breaking up old calcifications that occur with age, physical damage, and lifestyle. In some situations, we recommend additional treatments found in cutting-edge penile rejuvenation protocols to deliver the results our patients are looking for. This will include medical-grade vacuum therapy and, in some cases, the P-Shot for patients seeking more advanced results.

To maximize the results of the shockwave therapy, we recommend a series of 6 weekly sessions. Each session is quick, comfortable, and requires no recovery time.

FAQs

Who should not use Shockwave Therapy?

Med spa patients currently being treated for more extensive urological conditions or those that have a penile implant are not candidates for focused shockwave therapy. Otherwise the procedure is extremely safe and most patients are candidates.

How long does it take to recover from Shockwave Therapy?

There is no downtime for Shockwave Therapy. Patients can resume normal activity immediately after.

What is the difference between Focused Shockwave Therapy and Acoustic Shockwave Therapy?

The term “shockwave” is unfortunately unregulated in the United States. Therefore there are terms such as “acoustic shockwave therapy” and “radial shockwave therapy” that are being utilized, which are simply inaccurate. Acoustic energy and radial pressure are NOT shockwaves. They do not create the energy required to be labeled as shockwaves, and thus do not appropriately penetrate the tissue at the accurate depth to make any medical impact. Prospective patients looking for a potential treatment for ED should avoid clinics offering  “Acoustic Shockwave Therapy” and “Radial Shockwave Therapy”. Focused Shockwave Therapy is the only current treatment modality studied for treating erectile dysfunction.

Does Focused Shockwave Therapy Work for ED?

Yes. Focused Shockwave Therapy is a drug free treatment method to treat ED (erectile dysfunction). Multiple treatment sessions for penis rejuvenation therapy are required and patients should see an improvement a week after each treatment.

What type of shockwave device do you utilize?

We utilize a focused shockwave device from Storz Medical. It's extremely important that if you're looking to treat the penis with shockwave therapy that the provider is utilizing a "focused" shockwave device. Most of the individuals offering this service are using a "radial pressure device" that is often marketed as a "radial shockwave device". This is false advertising. When you look at the science, ANYTHING that is "radial" is NOT a "shockwave" at all. The device simply emits pressure; much more similar to a massage gun than a shockwave device. Therefore you will not experience improvement from your treatment.

Is pain a Shockwave Therapy side effect?

Not necessarily. Patients report feeling a vibrating sensation, more so towards the head. But overall penis rejuvenation therapy is relatively painless.

How is Shockwave Therapy utilized in penis enhancement?

Focused Shockwave Therapy is utilized to stimulate growth factors and rejuvenate old capillaries responsible for bringing blood to the penis during an erection. The growth factors also stimulate the growth of new capillaries, thus providing the penis with more blood flow than it had prior to treatments. In conjunction with the P-Shot ®, which is injecting HD PRP into the penis as a form of stem cell male enhancement (thus introducing more growth factors and stem cells from your own body) and a routine utilizing medical grade vacuum therapy, penis enhancement can be achieved. Patients may experience harder, firmer erections with more sensation.

What is Focused Shockwave Therapy and how is it utilized in urology?

A focused shockwave device utilizes several pulses or "shocks" to help rejuvenate injured tissue. In regards to urology, in recent years shockwave technology has been utilized in penis rejuvenation therapy to treat Erectile Dysfunction.

Are there Shockwave Therapy side effects?

No. Focused Shockwave Therapy has no side effects. This is one of the benefits of this treatment modality. The worst outcome is simply just not receiving the full extent of the benefits you were hoping for. Focused shockwave therapy is meant for people with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction or those looking for performance enhancement. It is not a suitable treatment for severe erectile dysfunction.

Do you have before and after Penile Shockwave Therapy photos?

No, we do not have before and after penile Shockwave Therapy. The treatment is a performance improvement procedure, and therefore has no major aesthetic changes. There would be nothing to visualize in a before and after photo, it’s all about improving the patient’s erectile function.
