The experience itself can be uncomfortable in many ways, but he has always treated me with such kindness, professionalism, and stellar bedside etiquette — all of which has made the overall process much smoother and more manageable. I have darker hair, and my skin has changed and tanned with the seasons, but he's always been able to titrate the laser strength appropriately.
